Our customers told us they needed a lighter tarp solution, and we listened. This tarp set is a lighter alternative to our 4-piece heavy-duty lumber tarp set, while still providing your load with the great level of protection you expect from a Verduyn tarp.
The center and flap of this tarp are made from the same waterproof 18oz. vinyl tarp material as our heavy-duty tarps, providing UV, rot and oil resistance. To reduce weight, the sides are made from water-resistant tear-stop ballistic nylon material with a high strength-to-weight ratio. This reduces the weight of the set by approximately 72 pounds.
This lumber tarp set consists of 4 lightweight tarps that are 24′ wide by 18′ long, and comes with 4 rows of D-rings at 2′, 4′, 6′ and 8′ from the tarp border along the 18′ length. They also have an 8’x8′ flap with 4 rows of D-rings and added 1′ fenders on the tarp to fold under the flap for maximum protection. These tarps are perfect for B-trains.
The webbing and rope reinforced borders have #4 brass grommets approximately every 24″ apart. Stainless steel D-rings, are placed approximately 24″ apart as well to provide ample locations to tie the tarp down, enabling the best coverage for your load. Additionally, each box-stitched D-ring has a vinyl wear patch under it to prevent scuffing and tears from rubber strap connection points.

Yes. Our 3″ x 30′ standard duty straps meet Canadian cargo securement standards, making them suitable for use across provinces and territories, including compliance with National Safety Code (NSC) Standard 10.

Each strap is clearly tagged with the working load limit (WLL) and includes high-visibility yellow webbing for added safety and inspection ease. Always make sure your total WLL across all tie-downs meets or exceeds your cargo weight.
